PHIL MINTON'S FERAL CHOIR
Avant-garde vocalist Phil Minton has been workshopping his Feral Choir throughout the festival week, culminating in this informal showing of the groups work.
If you would like to take part in this project, please contact the fuseleeds09 office on 0113 247 8332 or email info@fuseleeds.com. Places are limited and available on a first come first served basis. Workshops will be held on Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 April from 6 -8pm at Holy Trinity Church, Leeds.
No musical experience is necessary for participation and the process is very much about encouraging wider inclusion in music production and performance by people who might never have considered themselves musical. The process uses the raw qualities of untrained voices in non-verbal vocal improvisation, working with sounds rather than song and encouraging participants to take a vocal leap.
The finale performance will take place on Friday 1 May 7pm at Holy Trinity Church. Free and unticketed.

The musicians left in the same way as they came. In music. In rhythm. In jazz. Audience feedback, Saxophone Massive at Jazz sous les pommiers, Coutances, April 2008
